Specified purpose appointment covering extended leave

Estimated duration: 1 yr. or less, if current incumbent returns from leave

 

The UCD School of Languages and Literatures wishes to make a temporary appointment to the post of Lecturer in Spanish, preferably with expertise in Latin American studies. The successful candidate will prepare, design, deliver and assess high-quality language and literature modules in the Spanish undergraduate and graduate programmes, and will undertake administrative duties to be assigned by the Head of School or his nominee.

 

Note: This is a specified purpose appointment covering for a member of staff whilst absent on extended leave, therefore the appointment duration will be coterminous with the ongoing period of leave (and to a maximum of 1-years duration).

 

2010 Assistant Lecturer (below the bar) Salary Scale: €35,355 - €56,602 per annum

2011 Assistant Lecturer (below the bar) Salary Scale: €31,820 - €50,942 per annum *

* Subject to all new entrants to public sector as of 01 January 2011

 

Appointment will be made on the minimum of the above scales and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
