Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Hispanic Studies

The School of Language & Literature is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Hispanic Studies in the area of Latin American studies. Applicants should have a research record commensurate with the current stage of their career trajectory, along with firm plans for a high-scoring submission to the forthcoming Research Excellence Framework.
Expertise in any area of Latin American studies and a successful track record in University teaching are pre-requisites of the position.
As well as carrying out teaching, research and administrative duties in Hispanic Studies, the successful candidate may be expected to participate in our Masters degree (M.Litts) in Latin American Studies, and may also be involved in teaching our cross-School programme in 'Literature in a World Context'. A willingness to undertake postgraduate supervision and appropriate administrative duties will be required.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 8 salary scale for Senior Lecturers (£45,155 - £52,347 per annum) and Grade 7 for Lecturers (£36,715 - £43,840 per annum) with placement according to qualifications and experience.
