From October 2010 the School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures of the University of Manchester will have a major AHRC-funded project entitled Existential constructions: An Investigation into the Italo-Romance dialects. We are seeking to appoint two outstanding candidates for two post-doctoral positions working closely with each other and with the Principal Investigator, Dr Delia Bentley.

Candidates should have a PhD in the area of Italo-Romance morpho-syntax, experience in collecting and analysing dialect data, and some expertise in the analysis of the discourse-semantics-syntax interface.
