The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured position in Golden Age Spanish literature. Rank is Assistant or early Associate Professor. Candidates should be able to demonstrate serious scholarly promise, commitment to teaching, native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, and a willingness to participate fully in a vibrant program with strong ties to neighboring disciplines in humanities, arts, and social sciences. Must have PhD or defended dissertation by June 30, 2011.

Writing sample may be article or unpublished manuscript. No dissertations, please.
