Job Details:
You will teach both undergraduate and postgraduate level students on a range of courses and modules. Making a significant contribution to the developing research culture in the Department, you will bring an expertise in 19th and 20th century culture, including cinema. The Department of Modern Languages delivers degree programmes in French, Italian, German and Spanish as well as a rich portfolio of languages through its Institution-Wide Language Programme. It is currently involved in a number of European projects and continually seeks innovative ways of teaching languages. In a period of significant change at the University of Hull, this year alone, more than £15 million is being invested in recruiting the world’s finest teaching and research staff.
Teaching Italian across a range of modules, you will work in our state-of-the art Language Learning Centre, which offers staff the opportunity to experiment and identify innovative ways of teaching and learning. Ideally, you will have experience of teaching in Higher Education and will have started publishing your research in internationally recognised journals. Experience of teaching broad-based culture modules covering milestones in Italian culture, from the Middle Ages to the present day, will be highly favourable.
Salary range: £30,870 to £35,789 pa
