Description
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Portuguese and Lusophone Studies from 1 September 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Applications from outstanding researchers in any area of Portuguese and Lusophone studies are welcome. The Department of Hispanic, Portuguese, and Latin American Studies is an integral part of a dynamic, research-intensive, and forward-looking School of Modern Languages in the Faculty of Arts.
You will enjoy significant opportunities for interdisciplinary research and teaching in a lively, innovative Faculty environment. The Department of Hispanic, Portuguese, and Latin American Studies is a long-established unit which values the breadth and depth of its research and teaching, with a particular interest in global Lusophone studies. You will be expected to teach a broad range of subjects, including Brazilian culture and/or history, and will have a high level of expertise in Portuguese language, with the ability to contribute where required to Portuguese-language instruction.
