The School of Modern Languages is seeking to appoint a
Teaching Associate in French Linguistics
for the period indicated above, to cover some of Dr Richard Waltereit’s teaching and administrative duties while he is holding an AHRC Fellowship.
You will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant area and will be sufficiently familiar with French linguistics. Preference may be given to a specialist in Semantics, Historical Linguistics, or Sociolinguistics. You will teach content and language courses and participate fully in the life of the School and University.
You will join a thriving interdisciplinary School comprising 5 sections (French Studies; Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies; German Studies; East Asian Studies; Translation and Interpreting) with a wide range of research specialisms in linguistics, literary and cultural studies, film and media, society and politics, and translation studies ( www.ncl.ac.uk/sml/ ).
